Nam Theun 2 Power Project Press Release September 14, 2006 - As progress continues on the Nam Theun 2 Power Project in Khammouane Province changes continue to occur in the lives of resettled villagers. Approximately 6,000 people living in 18 affected villages are in the process of moving to newly-constructed homes located beyond the boundaries of a future reservoir.

Michael (Mick) Hayes Managing Director / Business Development Manager
Mick Hayes, a New Zealand national and the owner of PCL, has a long history of involvement and innovation in the Landmine and UXO sectors. Mick served in both the Royal New Zealand Engineer Corp (RNZE) and Royal Australian Engineer Corp (RAE). His qualifications include an Associate Diploma of Field Engineering Management, and an Associate Diploma of Explosive Ordnance Disposal. Mick has worked globally in the demining / UXO industry for the past 20+ years, where he has held many advisory, senior advisory and management positions respectively. Mick and his wife currently live in Laos with their two children.
